ALPTEX has been making FlexProbes since 1995. Prior to that, there was simply no sound method to connect with the SOP targets which were beginning to appear on boards.
Starting with the introduction of the TSOP, we've added new styles, types and sizes to the line every year since. Currently, our product line covers TSOP, PSOP, PLCC, SSOP, BGA and mBGA. By utilizing a new adaptor introduced in 2002, we can now connect to the popular TSOP II target. The Plug style fits into a socket and the SMT style is intended for soldering directly to the target. All of our FlexProbes have been designed to keep the total electrical path length to a minimum. Longer "reaches" can be achieved through the use of our Extenders.
ALPTEX customers have used our FlexProbes with virtually every popular emulator on the market. Some emulator manufacturers have, for years, bundled our FlexProbes with their products. No matter which emulator you have, we're confident that we can connect to it.
All of our FlexProbes are available from stock to satisfy nearly every memory target interconnect requirement. And, we are prepared to rapidly develop new ones as the need arises.
