In some applications, there's no room for a socket on your board...or one simply isn't available for the package that you've chosen. Our SMT style FlexProbes solve this problem by mounting directly to the target pad pattern. As with the Plug style, a Kapton flex circuit makes the transition to the interface connector at the opposite end.
Mounting the SMT style is accomplished by first pre-tinning the target pads, then reflowing the FlexProbe in place. Complete instructions are included with every probe. If you have difficulty in mounting, we can do it for you...just call our customer service department for more information.
